I walked through the halls, the books that I currently had with my was against my chest as I pushed through the halls. Some of the witches stared at me, rolling their eyes since I was 'different', to them. Not your average witch, or whitelighter. Thats because I was different. I was a demon pretending to be a witch . I told my dad it wouldn't work. I had demon like powers, so I had to use them when I knew I was alone. I bumped into some blonde witch, looked at me, made a face, then giggled, and walked away with her friends. I sighed in annoyance, twitching my fingers so my books lightly floated to my hands. We weren't suppose to use our powers unless they were controlled, and if you were in class. But, oh the hell well. I contuined to shove my way through the halls, and made my way to the library. I was suppose to goto some 'magic control' class, but that teacher was starting to put the pieces
together. My birth files, powers, and alignment were 'miss placed' and so far she is the only one that seemed to get a clue.
I walked inside the library, and set my books down. The librarian looked up, and stared at me, before returning to her book. Shaking my head, and letting out a deep breath, I open a 'Magical Creatures and Items' book I had with my, and began skimming through chapters.

I walked into the library. It was the first day I was back after summer break and I was not in the least excited. Everyone looked at me like I was some sort of god. Well I wasnt, I was just a Halliwell. Kourtney Halliwell. That was all that I was. I wasnt this great witch they all thought I was. That was my aunts. I was still learning, just like each and every one of them.
I spotted a dark haired girl sitting by herself at one of the tables and I smiled at her softly. She didnt look at me like everyone else. It was a relief to finally find someone who didnt care what my last name is. That or she was just like everyone else but she didnt know who I was yet. Either way this was different. A comfort. I sat down next to her. "Hi. Im Kourtney. Are you new?" I asked. I was a pretty friendly person, probably the most friendly out of all my family so saying hi to a stranger was normal for me.

I looked up at a girl who had approached me, and sat next to me.
"Hi. Im Kourtney. Are you new?"
"I'm Casey. And, sorta, I guess. I came here in the middle of the year last year." I said, in my regular soft tone of voice. I looked around the room quickly. Everyone was staring at her. Was she a big deal at this school? If so, why the hell would she talk to me?
I blinked quickly, and looked back to my book. Not reading, only waiting for her reply. But I didn't want to stare at her like anyone eles.

"Lucky." I said unintentionally. It was true thought. She was lucky. She could got to come somewhere where no one knew her. She got to reinvent herself. I was just...here. I was Kourtney Halliwell. The daughter of a Charmed One and a whitelighter. I guess it was cool. How I was. But most of the time I wished all the attention that surrounded me would actually be about me. Not about who my parents are.

"Lucky? Not so much. All these little witches to be stare at me like I'm some type of illness." I said, in a intentional whisper. I shrugged. I wasn't sure why Kourtney thought I was lucky. Maybe she had a big family, and everyone judged her by it. Or maybe she was just...one of those . The 'extra special girls'. She was probably a whitelighter/witch mix. A charmed one, or whatever the hell they call those people.
I decided to bring it up. "So.... I'm guessing your...well known?" I said, referring to the people looking at her like she was a god.

I looked behind me and rolled my eyes at what I saw. Everyone was staring at me talking to the knew girl. Did it really matter what I was doing to them? Was it important to their lives? I sincerely doubted that my doings had anything to do with what happened to them. Like me drinking a glass of water or talking to someone was going to determine if they lived or died. It was so silly how much I was watched. It also didnt help when I wanted to just do something spontaneous. I couldnt, not without someone knowing. It was so frustrating sometimes.

Since I was pretty sure that Kourtney was a charmed one, or related to them at least, I got uneasy, and fidgeted a bit, wondering if she could tell that I wasn't of good alignment.

"Most of the time. I do feel stalked." I looked at her concerned. She seemed to be almost shaking. "Is everything alright?" I asked. She looked so uncomfortable and I wondered if it was something I had said. Maybe it was just all the attention. That we were getting that was making her uncomfortable. I didnt know what it was but I wanted to find out.

"Oh, yea. I'm fine. " I paused, trying to think of a lie quickly. "I don't like to be looked at by that many people." I shrugged. I wished Angel was here now. She was the only other half demon that went to this school. Pretty much the only 'friend' I had. I met other people, but never stayed with them long. I was pretty much just afraid that they would find out I was a demon, and that I lived in the underworld. Quite frankly, I had no damn clue why I was in this school. If people found out, I could be killed in seconds. I twitched my finger slightly at my book, turning some pages of the book I had open. It was a nervous habit. Using my telekinesis. I looked at her again, wanting to ask her what he powers were. Just so I was reassured that she couldn't figure out that I was a demon. "So...What can you do? " I paused, "Power wise."

I looked at her curiously. It was an odd question in a place like this were you never knew who's side anyone was on, everyone was just here to learn. Truthfully, for me, I was neutral. Good or Bad it didnt matter to me. Whoever had an honest reason was who I was siding with, that was how it went with me. Honesty.
"Ummm..." I was nervous to answer. "Right now I can Orb, Heal, and Deflect." I said as matter of factly as I could. "What about you?"

My eyes widened slightly at the book I was staring at. Was it wrong to ask a question like that?
"Right now I can Orb, Heal, and Deflect."
I half smiled at the book, relieved that she couldn't sense things like other witches.
"What about you?"
Shit. Most witches had 3 powers by now, and if I said shimmering, duh, dead give away. " Uh, Telekinesis and energy balls..." I said, looking away from her, hoping she didn't mention it.
